Arrests Made, Citations Issued By Central Bucks Regional Police

The following citations were issued and arrests made during March by the Central Bucks Regional Police Department.

DOYLESTOWN BOROUGH, PA — The Central Bucks Regional Police Department issued the following citations and made the following arrests during March.

March 1

  • South Main Street, Doylestown Borough. A 36-year-old man from Morrisville was cited for public drunkenness after police responded to a highly intoxicated subject causing a disturbance.

  • North Main Street, Doylestown Borough. A 22-year-old man from Philadelphia was cited for disorderly conduct for public urination.
  • East State and Main Streets, Doylestown Borough. A 24-year-old man from Southampton was arrested for DUI following a traffic stop for taillights not being illuminated during a time of day when required. The driver presented with an odor of alcohol, bloodshot eyes, and slurred speech. The man failed field sobriety tests and a subsequent legal blood draw was obtained at Doylestown Hospital.

March 8

  • East Butler Avenue, New Britain Borough. An 18-year-old man from Doylestown was arrested for DUI following a traffic accident. While attempting to make a right turn, police said the driver lost control of his vehicle and collided with parked vehicles. He admitted to ingesting a controlled substance before driving. He was taken to Doylestown Hospital for a legal blood draw.

  • North Main Street, Doylestown Borough. A 21-year-old man from Furlong was cited for public drunkenness after police observed an intoxicated man stumbling into the roadway and onto the sidewalk.
  • West State Street, Doylestown Borough. In three separate incidents, a 21-year-old man from Furlong, a 23-year-old man from Jamison, and a 22-year-old man from Newtown were cited for disorderly conduct for public urination.

March 11

  • 700 E. Butler Avenue at Delaware Valley University, New Britain Borough. A 22-year-old man from Windmere, Florida, was charged with criminal mischief and disorderly conduct stemming from an incident that took place on Feb. 28. The Florida man met with the victim in the parking lot to retrieve his belongings. A verbal altercation ensued ending in the Florida man smashing the windshield of the victim’s vehicle.
  • Oak Drive, New Britain Borough. A 57-year-old New Britain man was charged with strangulation, simple assault, and harassment following a police response. Police said the man escalated a verbal altercation to physical contact with the victim leaving visible marks. He was arraigned, bail set at 10 percent of $20,000, and was remanded to Bucks County Prison.

March 13

  • Mary Street, Doylestown Borough. Police were dispatched to a physical altercation at a home on March 3 involving two females. Police said a 61-year-old woman from Lansdale engaged in a physical altercation that led to her biting the victim on the shoulder. The woman was charged with simple assault and harassment. She was arraigned and bail was set at $15,000 unsecured with conditions.
  • 700 E. Butler Avenue at Delaware Valley University, New Britain Borough. A 21-year-old man from Princeton, a former Delaware Valley University student, was charged with criminal mischief and disorderly conduct following police response on Feb. 6 to a subject trying to gain entry into a dorm by breaking a window.

March 16

  • North Main and Doyle Streets, Doylestown Borough. A 30-year-old man from Sellersville was arrested for DUI following a traffic stop for erratic driving and non-illuminated brake light. Police said the driver presented with bloodshot glassy eyes and an odor of alcohol. Field sobriety tests were failed and a subsequent legal blood draw was obtained at Doylestown Hospital.
  • North Main Street, Doylestown Borough. A 71-year-old man from Doylestown was cited for DUI following a well-being check for a man slumped over on a bench outside of a liquor establishment.
  • West State Street, Doylestown Borough. A 22-year-old man from Doylestown was cited for disorderly conduct for public urination.

March 17

  • West State and West Streets, Doylestown Borough. A 22-year-old woman from Chalfont Borough was arrested for DUI following a traffic stop for erratic driving and non-illuminated headlights. The driver presented with a strong odor of alcohol, bloodshot, glassy eyes, slurred speech, and slow motor movements. Field sobriety tests were failed and a subsequent legal blood draw was obtained at Doylestown Hospital.

March 20

  • 425 South Main Street at the Wawa, Doylestown Borough. A 37-year-old man from Trenton was charged with theft by unlawful taking, retail theft, and receiving stolen property after stealing a wallet and keys from a kiosk on Jan. 24. Police said the man placed the stolen items in his backpack along with unpaid food and drink. He was arraigned on the charges from Bucks County Prison where he remains detained on other charges.

March 21

  • North Broad Street, Doylestown Borough. A 36-year-old man was charged with institutional vandalism, disorderly conduct, public drunkenness, and DUI following a well-being check for a subject who crashed into a pole while riding a bicycle. The man showed signs of intoxication including an unsteady gait, slurred speech, and a strong odor of alcohol. He was taken into custody for his protection. While in custody, police said the man became violent, belligerent, and destructive in the holding cell. He was remanded to Bucks County Prison.

March 22

  • 200 West State Street (Simply Fresh), Doylestown Borough. A 41-year-old woman from Doylestown was cited for retail theft after police responded to a theft in progress.

March 24

  • West State Street, Doylestown Borough. A 21-year-old man from Doylestown was cited with disorderly conduct for public urination.

March 27

  • 191 S. Clinton Street (The Laundry Room), Doylestown Borough. A 34-year-old man was arrested after being found sleeping in a closed establishment. The man had previously been informed during incidents in December 2023 not to return to the Laundry Room. He was arraigned, bail set at 10 percent of $25,000, and was remanded to Bucks County Prison.

March 28

  • West Court Street, Doylestown Borough. A 29-year-old woman from Furlong was cited for public drunkenness following a well-being check. The woman was found lying on the ground and presented with slurred and incoherent speech and a strong odor of alcohol. She was transported to Doylestown Hospital for medical attention.

March 29

  • 425 South Main Street (Wawa), Doylestown Borough. A 19-year-old man from Galloway, New Jersey, was cited for retail theft after he was observed checking out and not paying for every item.
