Assault, Criminal Trespass Arrests Lead Warrington Police Report

Police said one intoxicated woman tried to gain entrance to the closed police station by entering through a restricted outside area.

WARRINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — The Warrington Township Police Department reported the following incidents between Oct. 26 and Nov. 4, including an intoxicated woman who entered the restricted area of the police station after hours, a man found in possession of controlled substances at a township park, and a woman charged with assaulting another with Halloween decorations.

November 4

  • Police arrested a 44-year-old Churchville woman on Nov. 4 for a retail theft committed at the Target Store in September. The store's loss prevention officer told police that the woman had concealed multiple items and switched the UPC of another item. Total loss suffered by Target was $216.92. She is charged with retail theft and receiving stolen property.

  • A 36-year-old Warrington Township woman has been charged with public intoxication and criminal trespass after entering a restricted area at the police station. The incident began when police arrested a driver for DUI. The passenger in the vehicle was found to be intoxicated and was transported home by police. About an hour later, police said passenger in the vehicle who police had taken home was seen on surveillance walking a bicycle near Hills Cleaners. She left the bicycle behind the business and approached the police department, where police said she tried to enter through a side door. Police said she then proceeded to a closed gate of the police department which is posted "police only" and attempted to unsuccessfully squeeze through the gate. She was eventually successful in entering the restricted area of the police department and proceeded to the doors where she was attempting to push buttons on a keypad. She was subsequently transported home by a relative and later charged with public intoxication and criminal trespass.
  • A 24-year-old Furlong man has been charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. On Oct. 27, police observed an unoccupied vehicle parked at the dam after hours. Officers later located two men in the park who told police they were utilizing survival techniques for a You Tube video. When the driver of the car went to retrieve his identification from the car, officers observed narcotics in plain view. Officers located more narcotics and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. The driver was placed under arrest and transported to the station where he was processed and released.
  • A 43-year-old woman from Warrington was charged with simple assault and harassment following a domestic disturbance. An investigation by police found that the woman had thrown a Halloween decoration at another person hitting them in the face and causing a swollen and bloody lip. Police said she then grabbed the person by the neck causing a bloody laceration to the neck. The woman was placed under arrest and transported to the station where she was processed. She was arraigned by Judge Wagner who released her on her own recognizance.

October 26

  • A 25-year-old man was charged with evading arrest after police recognized him in the area of 114 Easton Road and attempted to take him into custody on an outstanding warrant. Police said the man fled on foot but was subsequently arrested. He was transported to the station where he was processed. He was arraigned by Judge Petrucci who set bail at $25,000 or 10 percent cash. The man was unable to post bail and was transported to the Bucks County Correctional Facility.
