Assaults, Burglary Lead Central Bucks Regional Police Report
Thieves steal $150 worth of merchandise from Doylestown store. Wallets taken from parked vehicles, package stolen from front porch.

DOYLESTOWN, PA — The Central Bucks Regional Police Department reported the following incidents and arrests during May:
May 3

- 20 E. State Street (County Theater), Doylestown Borough. Benjamin Michael O’Hare, 36, of Doylestown, a former employee of the County Theater, has been charged with burglary and other charges for unlawfully entering the closed theater through a side door. Police said O’Hare went to the second floor and approached the staff and was told to leave the premises. O’Hare proceeded to the first floor and rummaged through cabinets and a cash register leaving with items totaling approximately $70. O’Hare was located a short time later, arraigned, and bail was set at 10 percent of $100,000. He was detained further on an outstanding warrant from Bucks County Probation and remanded to Bucks County Prison.
May 4
- S. Main Street, Doylestown Borough. A 19-year-old man from Philadelphia was arrested for fradulent display of documents and other charges following a traffic stop for traveling the wrong way on a one-way street. He admitted to police that the temporary Delaware registration plate that was affixed to his vehicle was fake. A criminal complaint was filed.

- 37 N Main Street (MOMs Bar), Doylestown Borough. A 23-year-old Hatboro man was arrested for assault and harassment following police dispatch for a man fighting with employees. The man had been asked to leave the establishment due to disorderly interaction with another patron. Police said the man became confrontational, engaged in fighting with three employees and punched one victim at least 10 times in the face. A criminal complaint was filed.
- S. Main Street, Doylestown Borough. In two separate incidents, citations were issued for urinating in public - a 22-year-old man from Warrington and a 23-year-old man from Conshocken. Citations were filed.
May 7
- Town Center, New Britain Borough. Sean F. Doyle, 35, of Southampton, was charged with DUI and a firearms violation following police response to an accident involving a parked vehicle. Doyle was lying on the ground, unresponsive, and transported by Chal-Brit Ambulance to Doylestown Hospital for medical attention. Doyle was in illegal possession of a loaded firearm found in the vehicle. A criminal complaint was filed.
May 8
- W. Court Street and Harvey Avenue, Doylestown Borough. Victoria Gisondi, 48 of Chalfont, was arrested for aggravated assault and disorderly conduct following an altercation with an employee of the Doylestown Borough Parking Authority. A dispute over a parking ticket led to Gisondi punching the employee in the chest. A criminal complaint was filed.
May 12
- S. Clinton Street, Doylestown Borough. A 39-year-old Doylestown woman was charged with DUI and obstruction following a traffic stop for failing to stop at a four-way stop sign. The driver abruptly stopped when officers indicated that she should pull over and then quickly fled in her vehicle. The driver then made a right on red at a traffic light where it was prohibited. Once parked, the woman walked away from the vehicle and refused to adhere to police commands to stop. When officers attempted to detain the woman, she actively resisted. She presented with slurred speech, bloodshot eyes, a strong odor of alcohol and refused a legal blood draw. She was arraigned, bail was set at $15,000 unsecured and she was released from custody.

- Mercer Avenue, Doylestown Borough. A 29-year-old woman from Furlong and a 19-year-old man from Doylestown were cited for underage drinking offenses following police response to noise complaint. Several young adults under the age of 20 were present in the backyard with alcohol. Citations were filed.
May 22
- Logan Street, Doylestown Borough. A 29-year-old man from Doylestown was arrested for DUI, drug violations and driving on a suspended license following officers’ observance of a vehicle on the sidewalk. The man was found asleep behind the wheel with the vehicle running and in reverse gear. The driver was found to have been driving while suspended due to a previous DUI. Illegal drugs and paraphernalia were also found on his person and in the vehicle. A criminal complaint was filed.
May 24
- 425 S. Main Street (Wawa), Doylestown Borough. Kenneth W. Schmalz, 70, of Doylestown, was arrested for criminal trespass and defiant trespass for being in the store after he was previously banned from entering due to past incidents. Schmalz was arraigned, bail set at $5,000 unsecured and he was released.
May 26
- Taylor Avenue, Doylestown Borough. A 33-year-old Doylestown man was cited for public drunkenness following police response for a report of a man lying on the grass behind hedges in a residential area. The man presented with a strong odor of alcoholic beverage. An ambulance responded for medical evaluation. A citation was filed.

May 6
- Vandalism and criminal mischief, 297 Keeley Avenue (Covered Bridge Park), New Britain Borough. Unknown person(s) entered the restroom building and spread feces on the wall of the bathroom.
May 8
- Theft from vehicle, 70 Old Dublin Pike (Regency Woods), Doylestown Borough. Unknown person(s) stole $160 in cash from a wallet on the passenger seat and threw the wallet in a dumpster. The windows to the vehicle had been left ajar.
May 16
- Theft, 565 N. Main Street, (EZ Laundry), Doylestown Borough. Unknown person(s) stole an Apple iPhone from the pocketbook of a patron.
May 21
- Theft, 33 S. Main Street (Serendipity), Doylestown Borough. Unknown person(s) stole $150 worth of merchandise. The suspects are described as white male with facial hair, wearing all black with a Nike backpack and a female with black hair wearing an orange top, black leggings, white sneakers and carrying a tote bag.
May 28
- Theft, Maple Avenue, Doylestown Borough. Unknown person(s) stole a package from the front porch of a residence and fled in a gold/tan sedan.
May 31
- Theft, 442 N. Main Street (Planet Fitness), Doylestown Borough. Unknown person(s) stole a wallet from an unlocked gym locker. The suspect(s) attempted to use a credit card from the stolen wallet.
