Assaults, Criminal Mischief: Warrington Township Police Report

The Warrington Township Police Department reported the following arrests between May 14 and 20.

WARRINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — The Warrington Township Police Department made the following arrests between May 14 and 20:

May 14

  • A 52-year-old Warrington woman has been charged theft by unlawful taking, simple assault and harassment following a domestic incident. At 7:07 p.m. Warrington Police responded to the report of a domestic assault on Tabatha Drive. Upon arrival the victim told police that he had been assaulted over a dispute with a friend regarding a car they had rented. The victim told police that when he declined to give the keys to the car to the friend, the friend became enraged and assaulted him. The victim told police that he was punched, kicked, pushed and pepper sprayed. The friend left with the keys and the victim's wallet, which contained $300. A warrant and a protection from abuse were issued by the court. On May 18, the friend returned to the victim’s home where she was arrested by police. The 52-year-old Warrington woman was arraigned by Judge Snow who set bail at $35,000. The woman was unable to post bail and was transported to the Bucks County Correctional Facility.

  • At 10:50 p.m., police responded to Westminster Apartments for the report of criminal mischief. The victim told police that a 32-year-old man from Warrington had keyed his vehicle. The victim related that the man defaced the car with racial words and a long scratch around the majority of the vehicle. Video surveillance showed the man damaging the vehicle. The victim obtained a damage estimate of $3, 643.22. The victim also provided a video of the man threatening to put a bullet in his skull and called him racial slurs. The man was arrested on May 21 and arraigned by Judge Wertman. The judge set bail at $10,000 or 10 percent cash. The man was unable to post bail and was transported to Bucks County Correctional Facility. Police have charged the man with terroristic threats, simple assault, criminal mischief and harassment.

May 17

  • At 6:04 p.m., police responded to Wegmans for the report of a retail theft. Upon arrival, loss prevention related that a 48-year-old man from Doylestown had left the store without paying for merchandise. The man was located outside the store with $148 worth of merchandise. He was placed under arrest and transported to the station where he was processed and released. A non-traffic citation was filed at District Court.

  • At 9:45 a.m., police arrested a Huntingdon Valley man for assaulting an employee at Walmart. The victim told police that he was grabbed and thrown to the ground. The two then began to wrestle until they were separated. The victim sustained multiple lacerations. The man was arrested, taken to the station for processing, and later released.
