Be Kind 5K Returning To The Streets Of Central Bucks This Spring
The fifth annual event will take place at Holicong Park in Buckingham for the nonprofit Kin Wellness Center.

BUCKINGHAM TOWNSHIP, PA — Hundreds will again hit the streets this spring when the fourth annual "Be Kind 5K" and 1 Mile Fun Run hits the pavement at Holicong Park in Buckingham Township for Bucks County's cancer patients and their caregivers.
This year's event - part of the Bucks 5K Series - is scheduled to step off on Saturday, April 11, and will welcome participants of all levels and abilities - running or walking - to honor, celebrate, and inspire those who have battled, or are battling, cancer.
For the past four years, hundreds have gathered to support the cancer community through the event, which raises funds and awareness for the Kin Wellness Center, an all-inclusive 5,000-square-foot retreat offering free support, fitness, therapy, and integrative services to cancer patients and their caregivers.

Each participant will be given a race shirt and a special takeaway. Every participant of the Fun Run will receive a participation medal. Awards will also be given to top finishers in each age category, as well as overall winners for men and women and Masters.
“Participating in the (Be Kind) 5K Race signified to me on a personal level that I was now fit and healthy again after a cancer diagnosis," said Marisol Graham. "Although I walked the course, I sprinted the last half mile to the finish line. At the time of last year’s race (2025) I was just about finishing my medical treatments. I thank all at Kin Wellness and Support Center, the staff, volunteers, donors and race sponsors for encouraging and supporting and ringing the cow bells for all of us - survivors, caregivers, family and friends.”
The course begins in the center of Holicong Park, then heads out to Holicong and to Upper Mountain Roads, where participants make the turn and return to the park, finishing where the race began.

Last year, the Be Kind event raised nearly $25,000 for Kin Wellness and Support Center. This event prides itself on catering to both serious runners and those who prefer to walk. The runners will be released first followed by the walkers to accommodate everyone and keep people safe.
“This event has grown year-over-year and now that we are in our fourth year, we are hoping for the largest turnout to date," said Keith Fenimore, the executive director of Kin Wellness. "The money raised helps us operate Kin, which has offered over 8,000 hours of free services to our local cancer community. I am often asked by people how they can help. My answer is participate by running, walking or volunteering at this event!"
Those interested in participating as a runner or walker can easily sign-up at by clicking here. Early registrants are guaranteed a race shirt.
The day begins at 9:30 a.m. with a family-friendly 1-mile fun run, then at 10 a.m. the 5K will begin with runners and joggers positioned toward the front, and walkers in the back. Participants are encouraged to show up at least 30 minutes before their event. Awards will follow the conclusion of the 5K around 11 a.m.
Special thanks to Buckingham Township and Buckingham Parks and Rec for donating the use of the park, the Bucks County Emergency Services, which donate their time making sure everyone is safe, and the Buckingham Township Police Department for managing traffic.
