Beloved Midway Carnival Ends After 87 Years
2018 marked the final Midway Volunteer Fire Company Carnival, organizers said Wednesday.

BUCKINGHAM, PA — A beloved local institution is no more.
After 87 years, the Midway Volunteer Fire Company Carnival will end, with 2018 marking the festival's final year.
"Many generations in the communities of Buckingham and Solebury and the surrounding community have attended and enjoyed the food activities, and rides the last two weekends of July," Midway Fire said in an announcement on Wednesday. "Unfortunately, staffing the kitchens and non-ride activites had become problematic."

Organizers considered having a rides-only event, but ultimately chose to end the carnival.
