DOYLESTOWN, PA — A chic Mediterranean restaurant that last year was named the area's best wine bar by Philadelphia Magazine is opening a Doylestown location.

Tredici restaurant, by the Zavino hospitality group, will be coming to a new building on the corner of Broad Street and Veterans Lane in Doylestown Borough.

The restaurant, which has received zoning approval from the borough, is expected to open in late spring to early summer of 2020, project partner Robert DeBolt told Patch.

"We are a high-end, food-driven Mediterranean restaurant with an American flare," DeBolt said. He said Doylestown residents can expect exceptional food and service in an airy and light setting. "It’s a fun environment," he added.

It will be the group's seventh restaurant. The flagship restaurant is in Bryn Mawr. The 5,900-square-foot, two-story Doylestown location will be duplicated with the same style and design as the Bryn Mawr restaurant, DeBolt said.

Here's a few photos of the Tredici restaurant in Bryn Mawr (story continues below):

Eastmure Builders has been hired to build the two-floor restaurant, which will have approximately 210 seats and a 800-square-foot outdoor patio. It will be the only restaurant in the 16,500-square-foot mixed-use building coming to that location, DeBolt said.

As far as the menu goes, Tredici offers everything from what DeBolt says is "the most unbelievable chicken parmesan you ever had" to small plates, brick oven pizza, and more. (See the full menu.)

And don't forget the wine. Philly Mag named the Bryn Mawr location as the best wine bar for 2018, saying Tredici's "stunning interior" is "exactly where we want to drink."

The project is spearheaded by DeBolt and Greg Dodge, who is head of the Zavino hospitality group.

Construction is expected to begin in August.
