Buckingham Friends School to Collaborate with Centerbrook Architects on a Master Facilities Plan for the Future

(Centerbrook Architects)

After a comprehensive review process, Buckingham Friends School is pleased to announce that they have retained Centerbrook Architects of Centerbrook, CT to create a consolidated master facilities plan for the school’s 44-acre campus in Lahaska, PA. Over the past four decades, Centerbrook has worked on a broad range of academic campuses, completing several dozen master plans and hundreds of buildings of all shapes and sizes.

Celebrating its 225th anniversary this year, Buckingham Friends School recently completed a strategic plan outlining its priorities and goals for the next 5 years. The facilities planning process will help the school evaluate the campus and its historic buildings and will inform strategic decisions about the best ways to improve facilities overall in support of the school’s teaching and learning goals.

“It was clear to our entire Master Facilities Planning Steering Committee that the team at Centerbrook Architects understands our school’s unique culture and possesses the experience and talent to lead an inclusive and successful process,” commented Head of School Paul Lindenmaier. “We are excited to work with the Centerbrook team and our entire community to develop a blueprint for how we will continue to improve our facilities and make the best use of our extraordinary campus for years to come.”
