Big Weekend In Doylestown: Arts Fest, Bucks County Classic Bike Race

Doylestown will be hopping this weekend, as two of the year's most popular local events get underway simultaneously.
The Doylestown Arts Fest and the Bucks County Classic bike race will be held this weekend in Doylestown.
The arts festival will be held around Doylestown on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event is held rain or shine.

The festival, a free community event, is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. It will feature a juried selection of more than 160 artists, displaying everything from fine art and photography to pottery, jewelry, recycled art, wood, metal and more.
In addition to the artists, the festival will feature various demonstrations and interactive arts, five stages of live music, two food courts and special events for all ages. Click here for a festival map.

On Sunday, in addition to the Arts Festival activities, the Thompson Bucks County Classic bike race will be going on in town. An international men’s professional 50-mile cycling race, a women’s professional race, a recreational ride, an amateur race and children’s races will be held.
Past Tour de France riders Chris Horner and Danny Pate of the United States and Janier Acevedo of Colombia are among those expected to compete in the 61-mile men's professional criterium.
Racing will begin at 8:30 a.m. and continue until approximately 3 p.m.Click here to view a course map.
There are several road closures planned for the events and local detours will be in place.
On Saturday, between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m., the Arts Festival will result in the following road closures, according to the borough:
- Main Street between Oakland Avenue and Court Street
- State Street between Pine Street and Clinton Street
- Hamilton Street, between State Street and West Oakland Avenue*
- West Oakland Avenue between Main and Clinton Streets*
On Sunday, for the bike race, the following streets will be closed in addition to the closures already in place for the Arts Festival:
- East and West Court Streets
- Pine Street
- East and West Oakland Avenues
- South Main Street
- West Ashland Street
- Lafayette Street
- Hamilton Street, between Court and Ashland Streets
Doylestown DART will be providing free shuttle service on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Shuttles will run from the free Court House Parking Garage at Broad, Union and Doyle Streets, to the intersection of Clinton and W. Court Streets and from both the Fanny Chapman Pool and The Farm office complex parking lots to Green and Ashland Streets, according to the borough.
