Billy Joel Tribute Band Continues Doylestown Township Concert Series
"We are not impersonators," says the band. "We aim to honor the aesthetics of Billy Joel's iconic sound and his unique place in music."

DOYLESTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — The Thompson Performing Arts Series continues on Wednesday, August 14 with a free performance by "River of Dreams," a Billy Joel Tribute Band.
According to the band, "River Of Dreams faithfully recreates the sound and the feel of Billy Joel’s classic songs. With a real love and respect for the music, Mike and his band bring life to such standards as: Angry Young Man, You May Be Right, Allentown, Captain Jack, New York State of Mind, Scenes From an Italian Restaurant, We Didn’t Start The Fire, Only The Good Die Young, The Ballad of Billy the Kid, It's Still Rock & Roll To Me, among others.

The free concert begins at 7 p.m. at the C&N Amphitheater at Doylestown Township's Central Park.

- Bell Bottom Blues (Eric Clapton Tribute) on August 21.
- Class Act (Dance Band - local teachers) on August 28.
- Lights Out (Frankie Valli) on Sept. 4.
- Bigg Romeo (Dance Band) on Sept. 18.
- Cherry Lane Band presented in conjunction with the Food Truck Festival on Sept. 22 from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m.
The free summer concert series is sponsored by The Thompson Organization which is made up of four dealerships: Thompson Toyota, Thompson BMW, Thompson Lexus Doylestown, and Thompson Lexus Willow Grove, as well as Thompson Detail Center and Thompson Collision Center.
The series is free and open to the public and is held on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. at the C&N Amphitheater in Doylestown's Central Park (weather permitting).
