Body Found On Embankment In Warrington Township: Police

The discovery was made shortly before 3 p.m. after police received a 911 call of a person lying face down on an embankment on Street Road.

WARRINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — The body of man was found Wednesday afternoon lying face down on a Street Road embankment near the Neshaminy Creek Bridge, Warrington Township Police said.

The discovery was made shortly before 3 p.m. after police received a 911 call of a person lying face down between Valley and Paul Valley roads.

Shortly after the arrival of Warrington Ambulance and Warrington Police, the man was pronounced dead, police said.

The man from Philadelphia has been identified, but police are not releasing his name pending notification of his family.

A preliminary investigation suggests that the man may have been struck by a motor vehicle at some point overnight, police said.

The Warrington Police Patrol Division, Detective Division and Highway Traffic Unit along with the Bucks County Crash Team Unit and the Bucks County District Attorney's office are investigating.
