The festival continues on Wednesday, April 29, with a movie night featuring the showing of “The First Wives Club” at the County Theater.

Book Fest is partnering with the County Theater to bring the beloved adaptation of Olivia Goldsmith’s novel, "The First Wives Club," to the big screen just in time for the film’s 30th anniversary. "Come dressed in your quirkiest hat and your coolest vest because we are hosting a Diane Keaton look-a-like contest on stage before the movie begins," said organizers. On Thursday, April 30, the festival's keynote event will feature a conversation with No. 1 New York Times Bestselling Author Tessa Bailey.

The 7 p.m. event will explore storytelling and the writing life, followed by a live Q&A. This is a ticketed event. All packages include at least one copy of Tessa’s latest book, Catch Her If You Can: A Novel. Additional titles by both authors will be available for purchase at the event.

The main festival day is scheduled for Saturday, May 2 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (rain or shine) at Broad Commons Park, 10 Doyle Street. The heart of the festival will spotlight an action-packed lineup of author panels, “Kids Fest” book fair and activities, local craft vendors, food trucks and a pop-up shop featuring indie authors across genres, from fantasy and poetry to historical fiction and memoir.
