Bridge Valley Elementary Supports the American Heart Association

Bridge Valley Elementary students participated in Jump Rope for Heart, raising nearly $18K!

In March, students at Bridge Valley Elementary School participated in the Jump Rope For Heart program to promote heart healthy choices, physical activity, and provide an opportunity for a service-learning project in support of the American Heart Association. The school set out to beat their total of $15,728 from the previous year and the students came through by gathering donations totaling $ 17,923.19 in the weeks leading up to their 2018 jump rope event.

Students jumped rope for 40 minutes participating in 9 different jump rope games and skills stations during their Physical Education class. The program was a great success.
