Buckingham Man Shared Child Porn: Police

BUCKINGHAM, PA — A Buckingham man is facing child pornography charges, according to court records.

Richard A. Balzer, 53, is charged with five felonies, including disseminating photos/videos of child pornography, three counts of possession of child pornography, and criminal use of a communication facility.

He posted bail, which was set at 10 percent of $100,000, and is awaiting a preliminary hearing on Aug. 20, records show.

In an affidavit obtained by The Intelligencer, Balzer told police the images he shared do not interest him but he sends them as “bait” to see what child pornography he can get from others. “Evil takes over and wants to see how sick it can be,” according to the affidavit.
