Bucks Co. Issues Code Blue Declaration Through The End Of The Month
Shelters will be open nightly throughout the county as Arctic cold grips the region and temperatures struggle to reach 32.

BUCKS COUNTY, PA — With Arctic cold settling in over the region through the end of the month, Bucks County has declared a "Code Blue" from now through Saturday night, January 31.
Shelters in Upper, Central, and Lower Bucks will remain in operation nightly through the evening of January 31, providing shelter to those needing a warm place to sleep.
The following shelters have been activated for this Code Blue event:

- Upper Bucks - Quakertown Masonic Lodge, first floor, 501 W. Broad Street, Quakertown 18951
- Central Bucks (Jan. 23 to 30): Our Lady of Guadalupe, 5194 Cold Spring Creamery Road, Doylestown 18902.
- Central Bucks (Jan. 31 only): Doylestown Presbyterian, Andrew's Hall, 125 Mechanic Street, Doylestown 18901.
- Lower Bucks, Woodside Presbyterian Church, 1667 Edgewood Road, Yardley 19067.
Note that the Central Bucks shelter location will move to Doylestown Presbyterian Church for the evening of Jan. 31.
Guests are required to leave the shelters by 6:45 a.m. each day and may return in the evening. The Upper and Lower Bucks shelters will open at 8:30 p.m. The Central Bucks shelter opens at 7:30 p.m.

The county issues a “Code Blue” declaration when temperatures are forecast to drop below 20 degrees for two or more consecutive days. A “Code Blue” may be called amid higher temperatures, as consideration is also given to wind chill, precipitation and other circumstances.
