Bucks County Approves $2M Upgrade To 911 Phone System

The Bucks County Commissioners approved a pair of emergency communications contract resolutions at a meeting Wednesday.
A $2.042 million contract with Frontier Communications of America, Inc. was approved to provide hardware to complete a 911 telephone system upgrade and five-year maintenance agreement. The second contract was a $256,000 deal with MCM Consulting Group, Inc. to provide consulting services for the Computer Aided Dispatch system.
The measures were approved unanimously.

The county's last upgrade to its 911 phone system was in 2008, the Bucks County Courier Times reported.
