Bucks County Dad Spins The Wheel On America's Game Show

Nick Tomaselli, of Chalfont, competed on the popular game show broadcast locally on WPVI 6 ABC and came up a prize winner.

CHALFONT, PA — A Bucks County dad took a spin around the wheel appearing Wednesday night on ABC TV's Wheel of Fortune hosted by Pat Sajak.

Nick Tomaselli, of Chalfont, competed on the popular game show broadcast locally on WPVI 6 ABC and came up a prize winner on "America's Game."

“I’m married to my beautiful and patient wife, Liz, and I have two daughters, Gianna, who is two, and Lila, who is two months old,” Tomaselli told Sajak.

“That must be an exciting household,” quipped Sajak. “There’s a lot going on. And you play some drums?” the game show host asked.

“I’ve been playing drums for about 20 years now. I just have fun playing anything I can play,” he said.

Tomaselli, a fifth grade teacher, and his wife are members of St. Jude Church and Shrine in Chalfont. He’s also a fourth degree member of the Knights of Columbus.

Tomaselli got his first chance at the wheel after another contestant hit lose a turn, but it was short lived. He added a pair of T’s to a puzzle, but then hit bankrupt.

A few minutes later, he came up big during the evening’s Fun & Games puzzle, solving, “Snorkeling Along the Reef.” It was also the prize puzzle.

Nick won a trip to St. Croix and a stay at Divi Carina Bay Beach Resort & Casino in a package worth $7,700. The prize boosted his total winnings to $12,900, enough to take the lead in the game.

Alisha Kahoukele from Waianae, Hawaii, went on to solve the final puzzle and to win the game with “Yellowstone National Park.”
