Bucks County Declares "Code Blue" Through The Weekend For Severe Cold

Shelters are scheduled to open Thursday, Feb. 2 at 8:30 p.m. in Upper, Central and Lower Bucks County.

BUCKS COUNTY, PA — Bucks County has declared a Code Blue effective through Sunday morning as severe cold settles in for the weekend.

Shelters in Upper, Central and Lower Bucks County are scheduled to open at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 2 at the following locations.

The county issues a “Code Blue” declaration when temperatures are forecast to drop below 20 degrees for two or more consecutive days. A “Code Blue” may be called amid higher temperatures, as consideration is also given to wind chill, precipitation and other circumstances.
