The Peace Valley Lavender Farm is home to 3,000 lavender plants, which can be found growing on its sun-soaked hillside. The farm grows two species of lavender with several varieties of each.
"Settling on those varieties was a result of trial and error over many seasons," the owners write on their website. "Bucks County is not the Mediterranean, so growing lavender in this region definitely has its challenges."
The farm grows different varieties of lavender that bloom at slightly different times during the month of June through mid-July, according to the farm's FAQ. The peak of the blooming season is the third and fourth week of June.
The farm is also known for its lavender products, which can be purchased online and at the farm's shop. Hours are Thursday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday, 12 to 4 p.m. Some products can also be found at the Mercer Museum, the Michener Museum and at Altomontes in Doylestown.
The farm is located at 802 New Galena Road in (New Britain Township), Doylestown 18901.
