Bucks County Fire Companies, EMS Providers Awarded State Grants
Projects eligible for funding include construction or renovation projects, purchase or repair of equipment, training, or reduction of debt.

BUCKS COUNTY, PA — The Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency and Office of the State Fire Commissioner (OSFC) has awarded grants to 14 fire companies and EMS units serving the 143rd legislative district.
“Our fire companies and EMS providers could not be more deserving of these grant funds,” said State Rep. Shelby Labs in announcing the grants for fire and EMS providers serving her district. "This funding will allow our first responders to continue to provide lifesaving work in our community.”
All companies that apply and meet requirements outlined by OSFC receive funding. Companies must file a grant agreement with OFSC to receive their grants. The companies that received grants are:

- Central Bucks Ambulance and Rescue Unit – $15,000.
- Chalfont EMS – $15,000.
- Chalfont Chemical Fire Engine Company No. 1 – $16,951.99.
- Delaware Valley Volunteer Fire Company – $15,000.
- Doylestown Fire Company No. 1 – $16,951.99.
- Dublin Volunteer Fire Company – $15,000.
- Grand View EMS – $10,000.
- Hilltown Township Volunteer Fire Company – $16,959.99.
- Midway Volunteer Fire Company - $16,951.99
- Ottsville Volunteer Fire Company – $16,951.99.
- Plumsteadville Volunteer Fire Company – $15,000.
- Point Pleasant Fire Company – $14,617.72.
- Point Pleasant EMS – $15,000.
- Silverdale Volunteer Fire Company – $16,757.46.
Projects eligible for funding include construction or renovation of a fire or ambulance company facility, purchase or repair of equipment, training, or reduction of existing debt.
The 143d legislative district includes Bedminster Township, Dublin Borough, Hilltown Township, New Britain Township (District East and District West), Perkasie, Plumstead Township, Sellersville, Silverdale and Tinicum Township.
