Bucks County To Host Free Vows And Valentines Ceremony In February

Couples interested in getting married or renewing their vows are asked to sign up by Feb. 2 for the free ceremony.

DOYLESTOWN, PA — The Bucks County Register of Wills and Clerk of Orphans’ Court will host its next "Vows and Valentines" - a free wedding and vow-renewal ceremony - on Feb. 13 at the Bucks County Administration Building in Doylestown.

The event, which will include a vow-renewal ceremony followed by wedding nuptials, will take place on the third-floor rotunda of the Bucks County Administration Building, 55 E. Court Street, from 12 to 2 p.m. Officiants will include Cantor Neil Schnitzer and Mouza Gornostaeva.

Bridal flowers, boutonnieres, photography by CK Photography, videography by James Donnelly, live music by the Mervin Toussaint Jazz Band, and a catered lunch will be provided. Due to space restrictions, couples are limited to two guests.

Space is limited so interested couples are encouraged to sign up as soon as possible by emailing willsandweddings@buckscounty.org by Monday, Feb. 2. Couples participating in the free wedding ceremony must obtain their marriage license by Monday, Feb. 9. This will be the fifth Vows and Valentines wedding hosted by the Register of Wills and Clerk of Orphans’ Court office, the first under Acting Clerk of Orphans’ Court, Doug Wayne, Esq., and the first since Register of Wills and Clerk of Orphans’ Court, Linda Bobrin, Esq., was elected to serve on the Bucks County Court of Common Pleas.

The Weddings For Heroes program provides two free weddings each year. Vows and Veterans is exclusively for couples with at least one veteran or first-responder and is held around Veterans Day, while Vows and Valentines is open to the public and is held around Valentine's Day.

Weddings for Heroes is made possible by the generous donations of local businesses and individuals to its nonprofit, Bucks County Weddings and Wills for Heroes.
