Bucks County Opportunity Council Announces New Board Members
The board is responsible for assuring that the agency continues to assess and respond to the causes, conditions of poverty in the community

DOYLESTOWN, PA — The Bucks County Opportunity Council’s (BCOC) Board of Directors recently elected six new board members.
As the lead anti-poverty community action organization in Bucks County, BCOC operates with a tripartite governing board that includes representatives of the local government, private sector, and constituents.
The board is responsible for assuring that the agency continues to assess and respond to the causes and conditions of poverty in the community, to achieve anticipated outcomes and to remain administratively and fiscally sound.

Tobias Bruhn, Ed.D, is the executive director for Foundations Community Partnership, and formerly the chair of BCOC’s Board of Directors. In his position on the Board, Tobi will be representing the private sector. Tobi is happy to be back on the board to continue making an impact with Bucks County’s most vulnerable.
Laura Burdette, of Sellersville, is an LPN at Valley Forge Medical Center. Laura is a recent Economic Self-Sufficiency Graduate and in her position on the board she will be representing constituents. Laura is looking forward to using her experience to help BCOC shape its programming and tailor resources to client needs.

Emily Citrone, MSW, of Levittown, is a Social Worker for AccentCare Homecare. In her position on the board, Emily will be representing constituents. As a graduate of the ES program, Emily knows what it takes to get out of poverty as she worked hard to meet her program goals. She looks forward to speaking on BCOC’s behalf and telling her story to inspire and motivate others.
Kimberly Everett, of Langhorne, is the executive director for Bucks County Health Improvement Partnership (BCHIP). In her position on the Board, Kimberly be representing Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick. Kim brings a unique perspective through her work with healthcare and looks to help BCOC engage more with the medical community to collaboratively address social determinants of health.
Fred Poritsky, of Richboro, is the owner of FZP Digital. In his role on the board, Fred will be representing the private sector. Fred is excited to give back to the community where he lives through is board service with BCOC.
Danielle Wittig, of Newtown, is a human resources consultant. In her position on the board, Danielle will be representing Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick. Danielle is an active member of the the Newtown Rotary Club and believes in community service. She is excited to use her skills and knowledge to help BCOC advance its mission.
