Bucks County Remains In The Medium Level Of COVID-19 Cases

Three years after the coronavirus broke out in Pennsylvania, residents in Bucks County continue to test positive for COVID-19.

DOYLESTOWN, PA — Bucks County remains in the medium level of COVID-19 cases with 513 reported through Feb. 1, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The new cases amount to 81.65 per 100,000 residents. There were less than 10 deaths during that time frame, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention tracking system.

The CDC reported that 5.3 percent of the hospital beds available in Bucks County are occupied by patients being treated for COVID-19. The rates are calculated on the increase in new cases and hospitalization based on a 100,000 population.

Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery counties are also back up to the medium level.

According to the data, 95 percent of Bucks County residents, or 636,028 residents have had at least one dose of vaccinations.

Vaccines are available for children six months and older. The vaccines for children under five years old are lower doses than those used for those over 5 and adults. More information is available here.

  • Get tested if you have symptoms.
  • Talk to your healthcare provider if you are at risk for severe illness
  • Wear a mask if you have symptoms, a positive test, or exposure to someone with COVID-19.
  • Wear a mask on public transportation.
  • You may choose to wear a mask at any time as an additional precaution to protect yourself and others.
