Bucks Co. School Counselor Sexually Assaulted Student, 14: DA
When allegations surfaced, the Pennridge employee was immediately placed on leave, said the superintendent.

PERKASIE, PA — A Bucks County middle school counselor has been charged with three felony counts for sexually assaulting a 14-year-old student.
Kelly Schutte, 35, an employee with the Pennridge School District, was arraigned Friday morning on three counts of intercourse/sexual contact with a student and one count of corruption of minors. She was also charged with three counts of indecent assault of a person less than 16 years of age.
The Pennridge School District said it became aware of allegations in July against Schutte and immediately placed the South Middle School employee on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation. She was also restricted from entering the school district premises or having any contract with district students and staff.

"While we refrain from making premature judgments about the actions of the staff member facing prosecution, it is crucial to reiterate the district's stance against any inappropriate contact between a Pennridge School District employee and a student. Such behavior will NOT be tolerated," said Angelo Berrios, the superintendent of the Pennridge School District in a statement released on the school district's website. "We want to assure you that the district is fully cooperating with the District Attorney’s Office."
The superintendent continued, "During this challenging time, Pennridge is committed to providing support for both students and staff. We understand the impact such situations can have on our community and want to assure everyone that appropriate measures are being taken."
