BUCKS COUNTY, PA - Two Bucks County communities are among “The Most Unique Small Towns To Visit In Pennsylvania,” according to an article appearing on an international travel website.

New Hope and Doylestown have again been singled out among Pennsylvania communities, this time as “perfect getaways where tourists can discover shops, museums, local cuisine, and hiking trails.”

The article, penned by Luana Ferreira, appears on TheTravel, which spotlights travel destinations around the world.

In her article, Ferreira lists Jim Thorpe, New Hope, Lititz, Gettysburg, Doylestown, Wellsboro, Hamburg, Bellefonte, Lewisburg, and Strasburg as among the “must-visit small towns” in Pennsylvania.

“These places are perfect for a weekend getaway, where tourists can discover shops, museums, local cuisine, parks, and hiking trails,” she writes.

The article highlights New Hope’s 18th-century buildings and vibrant art scene while encouraging a stroll along the historic Delaware Canal Towpath as “the best way to relax while discovering New Hope.”

In addition, Ferreira spotlights the town’s “vibrant cultural scene at the Bucks County Playhouse, a renowned theater that has hosted legendary performances.”

Doylestown, she writes, “has a vibrant downtown lined with shops, restaurants, and cultural landmarks. Fonthill Castle showcases the eclectic collections of Henry Mercer, while the James A. Michener Art Museum celebrates regional and contemporary art.”

She encourages nature enthusiasts to head to Peace Valley Park, just outside town, which offers serene lakes and trails. Tourists can also visit the Moravian Pottery and Tile Works, a testament to the town's artisan legacy.”

The article is the latest feather in the cap for the two Bucks County towns, which are consistently singled out as the “must visit” and “must experience” destinations in the Keystone state.
