DART plans to use the debut of the new route to reintroduce the bus service to the community “as a wider DART service for all Central Bucks residents and able to serve everyone from New Britain Township and County Line Road all the way through Doylestown Borough and down Route 611 to County Line Road,” said Lou White, the chairman of the DART bus committee.

DART currently provides fixed bus service in Doylestown, New Britain and Chalfont Boroughs, and Doylestown and New Britain townships. The buses also provide connections to the SEPTA Doylestown Rail Line and Route 55 SEPTA Bus. The DART System is operated by BCT in cooperation with the DART Committee. Funding for the service is provided by the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development.
The Dart System provides approximately 41,866 trips per year to Bucks County residents
while BCT logs approximately 258,000 trips annually.
At its May meeting, the Warrington Township Board of Supervisors approved the new DART South bus route system through the township and voted to make a $5,000 contribution to Bucks County Rapid Transit to help fund the system, which provides low-cost, convenient public transit in and
around the Doylestown area.
