According to charging documents, second floor condominium owner Scott Zielinski told police he was cleaning a firearm in his living room when it accidentally discharged. After it had fired, he told police that he placed the firearm on a shelf in the closet.

According to documents, Zielinski appeared intoxicated as he spoke with police.

When questioned, police said Zielinski said he did not report the discharge of the firearm and never notified his first floor neighbors of the incident, documents said.

Zielinski was arrested and charged with a felony count of discharging a firearm in an occupied building and two misdemeanor counts of recklessly endangering another person. He was preliminarily arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Regina Armitage on Sept. 2. Bail was at $25,000, 10 percent, which Zielinski posted.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled before District Judge Stacy Wertman on Sept. 30.
