Bucks Nonprofit Leader Attends State Of The Union
Travis Manion Foundation President Ryan Manion Borek will be attending as a guest of Pennsylvania Congressman Mike Fitzpatrick.

Doylestown, PA - As President Barack Obama delivers his final State of the Union Address Tuesday, one local nonprofit leader will be there to watch it in person.
Travis Manion Foundation President Ryan Manion Borek will be attending as a guest of Pennsylvania Congressman Mike Fitzpatrick, the organization announced. The Travis Manion Foundation is a veterans support organization based in Doylestown.
The president’s address begins at 9 p.m.

“I’m honored to attend this extraordinary event, representing the Travis Manion Foundation and the Veteran Service landscape. This evening is especially historic as, we look forward to hearing President Obama’s strategy for the nation during his final term,” Manion Borek said.
Manion Borek has had previous interactions with President Obama during his time in office, including being selected to receive the President’s Lifetime Achievement Award for Volunteer Service in 2015. Her late brother, 1st Lt. Travis Manion, was recognized in the President’s 2011 Memorial Day speech for his bravery.

The Travis Manion Foundation was founded after the death of 1st Lt. Travis Manion, who died in Iraq on April 29, 2007. The organization aims to assist America’s veterans and the families of fallen heroes.
