LAHASKA, PA — The 2nd annual Bucks County Women in Business Summit, created to benefit Kin Wellness and Support Center, brought nearly 100 local women business professionals together at the Cock n' Bull restaurant in Peddler's Village.

The event was sponsored by Karen Thompson’s Lace Silhouettes and graciously hosted by Peddler’s Village. Sarah Peters of The Sarah Peters Keller Williams Team produced and MC’d the event.

The evening's guest speaker, brand builder Gina Alvarez, a New Hope based multilingual/multicultural strategic marketing and design professional, touched on multiple facets of brand creation and marketing at the sold-out event.

Through ticket sales, sponsorship, business support, and donations, the event raised $10,253 for Kin Wellness and Support Center in Buckingham. Kin provides free holistic cancer services for local Bucks County cancer patients, their caregivers and oncology healthcare workers.

“The success and learnings from last year’s event were applied this year as we structured the evening to be informative, but in an interactive way," said Peters. "Our goal was to provide value and fun while raising money for Kin, an amazing non-profit!”

In addition to the keynote speaker, the interactive evening was designed to allow attendees the opportunity to meet one-on-one, share their business overview and exchange contacts.

“Sarah Peters has supported our non-profit as a donor, a volunteer and a sponsor since its inception. She is the perfect person to organize and produce this event given her drive, local roots and connections," said Kristina Fenimore, the director of Kin. "We are grateful to the good people at Peddler’s Village who graciously supplied the venue, food, a signature drink and staff as a donation in an effort to ensure Kin can raise the most money possible. Their commitment to our local cancer community and support of Kin is very much appreciated.”

Fenimore gave a special shout-out to Up in The Air Balloons for the balloon arrangement, Honey Hollow Blooms for the centerpieces, Le Macaron for providing dessert, marketing support from Michelle Brady Graphic Design and Photography by Denida Seybert.
