Burglary, Aggressive Driving Incident Under Investigation In Plumstead

Township police also investigated a retail theft at the Cross Keys Place Shopping Center on Swamp Road.

PLUMSTEAD TOWNSHIP, PA — Between Feb. 6 and 10, the Plumstead Police Department investigated a burglary, a retail theft, and an aggressive driving incident.

February 6

  • At 5:52 p.m., officers responded to a call for an aggressive driving incident. A driver told police that another vehicle was tailgating him in the township and then passed his vehicle on the double line. The driver was able to obtain a license plate number. The case is under investigation.

February 9

  • At 10:49 a.m., officers were dispatched to the Colonial Village Motel for a burglary. When officers arrived, they met with the business owner who said that an unknown subject entered an unoccupied room. Bedding, pillows, and towels were taken from the room with an estimated value of $200. The owner said the room had not been occupied in a few months and when they checked it the night before everything was in order. There was no forced entry, but the officers did find a door open. The case is under investigation.

February 10

  • At 12:58 p.m., officers responded to the Marshalls store at the Cross Keys Place Shopping Center on Swamp Road for a reported retail theft. Officers arrived and met with a store official who said that a man left the store without paying for items totaling $259.89. Officers are reviewing security cameras. The case remains under investigation.
