Buses Vandalized At Transportation Annex In Plumstead: Police

Woman falls victim to fraud; police investigate illegal dumping complaint on Burnt House Road

PLUMSTEAD TOWNSHIP, PA — The Plumstead Township Police Department reported the following incidents between June 10 and June 13:

June 10

  • At 10:52 a.m., a Plumstead resident reported a fraudulent transaction. The woman told police that she received a phone call that stated her Amazon account was compromised. The woman purchased $11,000 in Bitcoin prior to realizing this was fraudulent. The victim was provided a victim rights packet. The incident is under investigation.

  • At 6:08 a.m., officers were dispatched to Airport Boulevard, Central Bucks Transportation Annex for a criminal mischief report. When officers arrived, they met with the complainant who showed them two buses with shattered rear windows. When on scene officers found a BB pellet on the floor of the bus. At this time no leads to identify the actor.
  • At 10 a.m., a Plumstead Township resident requested a phone call from an officer for a complaint of dumping. The complainant stated that in the area Burnt House Hill Road he witnessed an individual disposing of bags of trash in the wooded area and was able to obtain a license plate. This case is under investigation.

June 13

  • At 11:23 a.m., officers were dispatched to 611 Self Storage for a fraud complaint. Upon speaking with the individual in question further investigation verified an outstanding warrant. Joanne Calvitti, 50, of North Wales, was taken into custody and transported to The Bucks County Sheriff’s Office.
