Forged Checks, DUI Arrests, Assault Reported By Plumstead Police

PLUMSTEAD TOWNSHIP, PA — Police reported the following incidents and arrests between April 17 and April 23 in Plumstead Township.
Monday, April 17
- On April 17 at 6:18 p.m., officers investigated a domestic assault reported by the victim. The victim sustained minor injuries from the assault and was provided with a victim’s right packet by officers. Officers obtained a warrant for Brian Crawford, 44, of Doylestown, who was placed under arrest for terroristic threats and simple assault. Crawford was arraigned and bail was set at 10 percent of $20,000 with conditions. He was taken to the Bucks County Corrections Facility.
Wednesday, April 19

- At 1:20 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on Swamp Road for a vehicle that was driving on the wrong side of the road. During the traffic stop the officers detected an odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. The operator, Vauhn Hess, 20, of Chalfont was unable to satisfactorily perform the field sobriety test and was placed under arrest for driving under the influence. Charges have been filed.
Thursday, April 20
- At 4:43 p.m., officers received a call for a fraud complaint. Officers spoke to the complainant who stated he received a bill for more than $500 from a credit card opened fraudulently using his name. The complainant was provided a Victims Rights packet and identity theft packet. The case is under investigation.
Friday, April 21

- At 8:35 a.m., officers received a phone call for a fraud complaint. The victim told police that her business checking account was compromised with forged checks totaling $9,000. The victim was made aware of the transactions from her bank in an attempt to confirm if the individual who wrote the checks was linked to her business account. The case is under investigation.
Sunday, April 23
- At 3:13 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Easton Road. When officers spoke with the operator, they observed signs of impairment with slurred speech and bloodshot eyes. The operator, Betuel Pineda-Nevarro, 36, of Penns Park was unable to satisfactorily perform the field sobriety test and was placed under arrest for driving under the influence. Charges are pending blood evidence results.
