Business Reports Fraudulent Activity: Plumstead Township Police Report
Police also responded to a domestic incident and investigate separate reports of damaged vehicles.
PLUMSTEAD TOWNSHIP, PA — The Plumstead Township Police Department reported the following incidents between June 28 and June 30:
June 28
At 12:41 a.m., officers responded to Roseberry Drive for a domestic in progress. When the officers arrived, a woman told police that her ex-husband had become physically aggressive with her. Officers did not see any marks indicating a physical altercation. Both parties agreed to remain in the house overnight in separate rooms.

At 4:19 p.m., an employee from a Plumstead business stopped at the station to file a fraud report. The complainant told police that she received emails from a vendor that the company uses informing them that they had changed banks and to resubmit payment. More than $71,000 was transferred to the fraudulent account. The complainant contacted the bank and was refunded $17,000. The incident remains under investigation.

At 11:40 a.m., officers received a phone call from resident asking to file a property damage report. The resident said that his vehicle's emblem was scratched off and there was an estimated $400 worth of additional damage done to his vehicle. The incident occurred at D-town Guitars. The case is still an active investigation pending surveillance footage.
June 30
At 9:06 a.m., officers arrived at the area of Geddes Way for a property damage report. The complainant told police that someone knocked over his mailbox. While officers were taking pictures, they found a piece of lens that was broken off a vehicle. They believed the incident happened around 9:30 p.m. when his wife heard a noise out front. Officers patrolled the area to see if they could observe the striking vehicle.
