Business Roundup: Restaurants Teaming Up For Cancer Patients In Bucks County

BUCKS COUNTY, PA — Bucks County restaurants and eateries are again teaming up to benefit the Kin Wellness Center and Bucks County cancer patients and their caregivers.

Throughout August, designated eateries will be donating a portion of their sales to Kin.

In other Bucks County business news, the owners of a South Jersey gastropub have announced plans to open a second location on South State Street in Newtown.

And a Bucks County tavern has big plans to celebrate its first anniversary. It's planning an "unforgettable evening" on Friday.

Restaurants Team Up For Cancer Patients

Bucks County restaurants and eateries are again teaming up with Kin Wellness and Support Center this summer for "Eat, Drink & Be Merry Month." The fundraising event kicks off on Saturday, August 1, and continues to the end of the month with participating restaurants and eateries donating a portion of their proceeds to the Kin Wellness and Support Center and Bucks County residents battling cancer.

South Jersey Gastropub To Open In Bucks

One of the oldest buildings in Newtown, dating back 280 years, will soon be home to the town’s newest restaurant. The owners of a South Jersey gastropub - The Local Eatery and Pub in Mount Holly - have signed a lease and will be opening a second location this fall at the former site of Relic at South State Street and Centre Avenue.

Auto Group Among "Best Places To Work"

Fred Beans Automotive Group has earned its eighth "Best Places to Work" award from the Philadelphia Business Journal. The Doylestown-based company first participated in the contest in 2019 and has since secured a spot annually among the Greater Philadelphia Region’s Best Places to Work.

Neshaminy Creek Among Nation's Best Bars

The Neshaminy Creek Brewing Co., with locations in Croydon, Dublin and Harleysville, has been named one of the best bars in America. Neshaminy Creek's owners said that USA TODAY's Best Bars in America 2026 chose the brewing company among 38 spots across the country.
