Busy Memorial Day Weekend Ahead In Doylestown

It will be a busy weekend in Doylestown, with a 5K and a Memorial Day parade planned, among other events.

DOYLESTOWN, PA -- It will be a busy weekend in Doylestown. In addition to the annual Memorial Day Parade on Monday, there are a few other events to keep in mind. These events will not only provide fun and entertainment, but could impact town around town.

On Saturday, the Doylestown 5K will be held. The 25th Annual Doylestown 5K Race and 1 Mile Fun Run starts at 9 a.m. The local race is the largest in the Bucks 5K Series. Click here to view a course map.

Saturday's forecast calls for a chance of showers after 2 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.

On Monday, the annual Memorial Day parade will be held. Block parties in town are also planned that day, according to Central Bucks Regional Police Department.

The parade starts at 10 a.m. and is hosted by the United Veterans of Doylestown. It begins at Central Bucks High School West and travels along West Court Street to Clinton Street. From there, it goes down State Street, to Main Street, then turns onto East Court Street.

The parade concludes at the Doylestown Cemetery.

Parking will be prohibited on both sides of West Court Street between Lafayette and Clinton streets starting at 7 a.m. and going through the conclusion of the parade (approximately 2 p.m.) There will also be parking restrictions during the same hours on East Court Street between Main and East streets.

Monday's forecast calls for a chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.
