BuxMont Unitarians Answer Call Of The Wheel Of Time
The challenge of the story's beginning was well and bravely met
WARRINGTON, PA — How do we react when life calls us to action? How do we characterize change itself? How do the responses of the Two Rivers villagers reflect our own experiences?
A group of 16 tackled these questions and more Wednesday at the first meeting of BuxMont UU’s The Wheel of Time as Sacred Text discussion series led by the Reverend Kevin Jagoe.
The Wheel of Time, a series of novels now adapted for TV, tells a story of a conflicted world shaped by a complex web of beliefs inspired by a rich tapestry of world mythology, philosophy, and history. In their inaugural meeting the discussion group grappled with the theme “To Be Called”, exploring the watershed moments that begin the characters’ journeys from the comforts of home into the unknown. Reading and video assignments for the evening guided the talk peppered by broader context about the book’s writing.

Those new to the novel and those who’ve read it multiple times are invited to attend the series, which runs on second and fourth Wednesdays through May.
