BuxMont UU to Spin Wheel of Time Yarn

Reverend Kevin Jagoe, avid fan and BuxMont UU Minister, will lead the program The Wheel of Time as Sacred Text, drawing from both the original text and television series to explore shared experiences through storytelling.

The sprawling work paints a detailed picture of a conflicted world shaped by a complex web of beliefs inspired by a rich tapestry of world mythology, philosophy, and history. How can a magical, fictional world mired in international conflict and divided by religious and political factions help us describe and understand the world we live in? What conflicts shape the language we use to tell our own story?

“I’ve read and reread The Wheel of Time since I was a teen and each time have found more symbolism, lessons and stories to pull apart and reinterpret, wondering what fellow fans would have to say,” says Jagoe. Those new to the novel and those who’ve read it multiple times are invited to take a turn at the wheel as we navigate this fascinating and challenging work in a casual setting

Each meeting will tackle a different theme, and singles, couples, friends, and throuples are welcome to attend without commitment for the full series.
