No need to go on a filet-o-fish binge just yet, though. The menu items that will be axed have not yet been announced.

In addition to shortening its menu, the chain will eliminate five value meals with the goal of altering the perception that its offerings are unhealthy, CNBC reported.

The news was shared by McDonald’s CEO Don Thompson during an investors meeting Wednesday as the company leadership looks to turn around recent sales declines, the Associated Press reported.

Its current menu boasts dozens of burgers, sandwiches, wraps and salads. Thompson, during his meeting with investors, said the menu should be simplified, CNBC reported.
