Event Details
The Doylestown Historical Society, in cooperation with the Borough of Doylestown, is thrilled to announce the "Doylestown Celebrates USA 250 Kickoff Event," a free and open-to-the-public celebration leading up to the nation's 250th anniversary year.
The event will take place on Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 12:30 PM to 4:00 PM at the DHS Barn and Park, 56 S. Main St. Doylestown.
Attendees will have the unique opportunity to meet Benjamin Franklin portrayed by an impersonator, as he discusses the signers of the Declaration of Independence at 2:00. The kickoff will also feature a variety of activities and entertainment for all ages, including:
Performances by the Cross Keys Connection barbershop quartet
Interactive exhibits presented by the Lenni Lenape Tribe
Appearances by the Town Crier
Display of an authentic 1770-period gown
Introduction of the Doylestown Celebrates USA 250 ornament
Publication of the Doylestown Celebrates USA 250 calendar
Unveiling of the 2026 lecture and video history series
