How Private liquid wastewater systems operate and how to maintain them

Roughly 50% of the residents of Buckingham township dispose of their liquid waste through private waste water system including Septic systems and Cesspools. Yet, according to a Penn State poll, most resident don’t know how they work, or how to maintain them. A sizable number don’t even know where they are located in their yard. Neglecting your waste water system can result in expensive repairs, contamination of well water and contamination of our local streams.

The Penn States Water team will present a seminar on how private liquid wastewater systems operate and how to maintain them Friday May 15th 7Pm at the Buckingham township building.
