Baseball Team to Honor Local Girl in Her Battle Against Cancer Through Fundraising Game

The Homers for Hope men's baseball team will host a game on Sunday, June 14th in Doylestown to recognize Faith Dominguez who is a 9 year old going through a difficult battle with cancer. The team is part of the Homers for Hope nonprofit organization and competes in the 35+ BuxMont MSBL, with all players on the team having dedicated their season to fundraising on behalf of the Dominguez family in an effort to help pay their bills during this difficult time.
The game will see the Homers for Hope Yankees take on the Radnor Renegades at Hanusey Park (4757 Gordon Rd, Doylestown, PA 18902), and a pre-game ceremony is planned beginning at 9:00am. The Dominguez family will be in attendance, and several previous families who were assisted by Homers for Hope are expected to be there as well. The pre-game event will include Faith being presented with an official jersey, a ceremonial first pitch, and an unveiling of how much money has been raised to help support the family. The game is open to the public and the community is invited to attend to cheer on Faith and the team.
Donations will be accepted at the game, or can be made online at: https://tinyurl.com/HomersSummerBaseball2026
About the Dominguez Family
In December of 2023, the Dominguez family of Bensalem received news that changed everything. Their daughter Faith was diagnosed with Acute Lymphatic Leukemia, beginning a long and difficult journey of treatment and recovery.
Since her diagnosis, Faith has undergone intensive medical care that included chemotherapy, spinal taps, and bone marrow procedures. Much of her treatment required long stays in the hospital along with frequent visits to the clinic. These treatments became part of everyday life for Faith and her family as they focused on giving her the best chance to heal.
During this time, the Dominguez family worked to balance Faith’s medical needs with the responsibilities of caring for their household. Managing hospital stays, appointments, and daily family life created many challenges along the way. Like many families facing a serious illness, they found themselves adjusting routines and making difficult decisions while keeping their focus on Faith’s health.
On March 6, 2026, the family reached an important milestone when Faith completed her chemotherapy treatment. This moment brought tremendous relief and gratitude after more than two years of intense medical care. Although chemotherapy has ended, Faith’s journey is not over. She is now in the recovery phase and continues to attend regular medical follow-ups as she regains strength and continues healing.
