The Central Bucks Senior Activity Center will host The Mad Hatter: A Social Tea for Women on Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Center, 700 North Shady Retreat Road, Doylestown. The afternoon benefit will offer tea, friendship, pastries, and fun, along with a fashion show showcasing costumes from Broadway shows and other theatrical productions. Guests will also enjoy live piano music by renowned local legend George Sinkler throughout the event.bThe fashion show is being organized and presented by Peg Walsh, a veteran actress who has appeared in numerous productions throughout the local area. Walsh is working with several area theaters to assemble a collection of costumes that have appeared onstage in a variety of productions. The show will highlight costumes from Broadway musicals and other theatrical favorites, accompanied by music from the productions they represent. Lynne Anne Donchez, well known for her hat collection and author of “For the Love of Hats”, and her appearances as “Lady Liberty”, will provide commentary. Pianist George Sinkler, one of the area’s longtime professional musicians, will provide live music for the afternoon, including selections connected to many of the theatrical productions represented in the fashion show. In keeping with the Mad Hatter theme, guests are encouraged to wear a favorite hat. Admission is $25 without a hat and $20 for guests wearing a hat.
