Chris Applegate from the Museum of Indian Culture will talk about Lenape culture as it was before the arrival of the Europeans. Life in our area was very different 500 years ago. Through this interactive presentation, attendees will explore how the Lenape utilized the resources and seasonal changes in the eastern woodlands in their housing, clothing, food, social structure, and education. Integrating the patterns of the natural world in their culture allowed the Lenape to not only survive but thrive in an environment we might find hostile today. Chris will also be bringing artifacts that were a part of the Lenape culture. Please register for this FREE event at FriendsofDoylestownLibrary@gmail.com
