Green Hills Farm Arboretum at Pearl S. Buck International Presents 'I Spy A Mushroom'

Learn to identify, understand types, and discover where to find mushrooms. This event will include both a lecture and field experience; after the "classroom" part of the event, participants will walk the arboretum with our expert presenter and search for mushrooms.

Presenter: Luke Smithson

Luke Smithson is an avid mushroom hunter and community scientist with over 30 years of experience. He is past president of the New Jersey Mycological Association and currently sits on the board of several local and national mycological societies.

His mycological interest includes edible fungi, conservation, studying ecology, and trying to understand how it all fits together.

This event may last 2 hours—a 15-minute lecture followed by field experience outside around the arboretum.

This event is rain or shine; wear appropriate footwear to walk outdoors.
