Can’t Make a DAR Meeting? We’ll Come to You!
Bucks County Chapter's newest Junior member couldn't attend her Welcoming ceremony, so our chapter Registrar went to her travel hockey game!

One of the Bucks County Chapter’s newest Junior members went off to college before she could attend her official welcoming ceremony, so Registrar Marijane Meckling attended her hockey game!
Cadera Smith received her membership as a gift from her father, Donald Smith, when she graduated high school because he wanted to pass on the family’s love of history. Their family’s Patriot, Adam Bush, fought during the Revolutionary War in Virginia.
Cadera now attends the University of Richmond and plays hockey for the University team. When the team traveled to Pennsylvania to play against LaSalle College in Philadelphia on October 12th, Marijane attended the game and presented Cadera with a Welcome package.

Marijane enjoyed the opportunity to watch the game and reminisce about her own days of playing field hockey in high school. The game proved to be just another way that DAR makes connections that go beyond simply our heritage.
Junior members, aged 18 – 36, are full members of the Daughters of the American Revolution who have additional networking opportunities to meet other members their own age.
