
The Midway Carnival in Buckingham Township is now open.
The popular local carnival, hosted by Midway Volunteer Fire Company, is open this Friday and Saturday, as well as next week from Thursday, July 28 to Saturday, July 30.
The carnival features rides, games, food, raffles and entertainment. It is held on the carnival grounds off Rt. 202 in Lahaska.

The carnival opens at 6:30 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays and at 6 p.m. Saturday for both weeks of carnival.
Wrist bands for unlimited rides are $25 per person, per night.

Proceeds from the carnival go to the Midway Volunteer Fire Company to purchase new trucks and equipment as well as help with the cost of daily operations. Click here to visit the carnival’s Facebook page for more information.
While there is a chance of thunderstorms Friday evening, Saturday looks to be a safe bet weather-wise.
Here is the forecast for the next two days, according to the National Weather Service:
Tonight: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 10pm. Some storms could be severe, with gusty winds. Partly cloudy, with a low around 72. Southwest wind 5 to 9 mph becoming light after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 96. West wind 5 to 11 mph.
Saturday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 68. West wind 5 to 7 mph becoming calm in the evening.
