CB West Appoints New Athletic Director

Henry Hunt has been appointed as the new Athletic Director for Central Bucks High School West, the district announced Tuesday.

Henry Hunt has been appointed as the new Athletic Director for Central Bucks High School West, effective July 29, the Central Bucks School District announced Tuesday.

According to his bio from the district, Hunt:

  • Earned a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from West Chester University
  • Has a Master of Education in Instructional Leadership from Neumann University
  • Has 10 years of experience as an Athletic Director in Philadelphia, both on the middle school and high school levels.
  • Taught Health and Physical Education, and coached, in addition to his Athletic Director responsibilities.
  • Served as Dean of Students at Grover Washington, Jr. Middle School
  • In his most recent Athletic Director position at the School of the Future High School, Hunt oversaw 22 sports programs and additional clubs while also serving as head coach for varsity football, volleyball, and boys’ basketball teams, and teaching Health/ PE.

“I believe in working with coaches and parents to ensure that student-athletes come first in a high school athletic program. I feel privileged to contribute to a school with such a fine academic reputation as well as such a high-quality athletic program as Central Bucks West,” Hunt said in a statement.

Principal Jason Bucher said the school is excited to welcome Hunt. “He is invested in creating a positive athletic experience for our students. His background in teaching, instructional leadership, and athletics will add a new dimension to our athletic department at CB West,” Bucher said.
