CB West Grad Closes Collegiate Volleyball Career With Solid Numbers

Rachel Baker ends with nearly 1,000 digs after four years on the court.

A former Central Bucks West student athlete has closed out her collegiate volleyball career at Washington College in Chestertown, Md. with solid numbers.

Seniot outsider hitter and defensive specialist Rachel Baker of Doylestown finished her fourth and final season recently, playing in 20 matches for her team in 2016 and starting once against Franklin and Marshall on Oct. 22, the college said.

Baker, a human development major, was finished 2016 with 173 digs, 18 services aces, making her fifth in both stats on the team. Her best game dig-wise this season was against Muhlenberg, where she had 16 dig. In 2106 she also had eight matches with double digit digs.

Overall in 102 matches through her college volleyball career, Baker had 936 digs, 104 aces, 77 assists, and 45 kills.

The Shorewomen finished 12-13 overall and 3-7 in the Centennial Conference this season.
