Enjoy the parade and watch Santa Claus himself light the tree for the first time ever.

This year marks the 102nd Annual Christmas Tree Lighting in Doylestown and the Friday, Nov. 25 tree lighting event has a few new changes.

This year, the parade will begin at Central Bucks High School West and head up West State Street, ending at Pine Street.

Santa Claus will be in the parade this year and when he arrived at the Fountain House at Main and State streets, he will light the Christmas tree for the first time.

Following the tree lighting, Santa's house will be open for children to visit St. Nick until 8:30 p.m. Mayor Ron Strouse and others are scheduled to share holiday stories with the children inside Class-Harlan Real Estate.

Road closures on for the parade will begin at 5:30 p.m.

Police are asking that all pedestrians remain off the street until the entire parade has passed. Once the parade has passed you, the public is encouraged to follow the parade to the Fountain House.
