Celebrate The Moon Landing Anniversary Saturday In Doylestown
Events include a docent-led tour of the Color of the Moon exhibition, as well as self-guided family activities and even Lunar Yoga.
DOYLESTOWN, PA — Celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first lunar landing with a full day of activities this Saturday, July 20 at the Michener Museum in Doylestown. Events go from from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.. and include a docent-led tour of the Color of the Moon exhibition, as well as self-guided family activities and even Lunar Yoga.
The Color of the Moon exhibition features more than 50 works of art depicting the moon. "All of the works in the exhibition underscore how the romantic idea of the moon held an inexorable pull for artists and was central to its depiction of landscape," the museum explains.

Lunar Yoga

Time: 10 – 11 am or 4:30 – 5:30 pm

About: Explore the calming energy of the moon through this meditative, reflective and gentle flowing practice. Through the sequence of postures, learn how the moon can teach us to create harmony, slow down, find balance in our emotions, and calm the mind. Focus inward and experience stillness in the postures during the practice. All levels welcome. Please arrive 15 minutes early. Bring your own mat.

About: Join the Bucks-Mont Astronomical Association in looking at our nearest star, the sun. You’ll enjoy unparalleled views of sunspots, prominences and the broiling surface of the Sun.
